Employee Spotlight: Erika Engel

Happy Women's History Month! This month we are excited to spotlight the women at Envision and share their accomplishments and journeys in the industry.

Erika is a Senior Client Service Director at Envision and has been client-facing in the staffing industry for 6+ years. She has been a part of the Envision team since 2018 and inspires our team every day with her dedication to her client's needs and passion for her role.

How did you get where you are today? What made you want to step into this industry?

"I was in a sales management role in the retail industry and randomly one day I got recruited via LinkedIn message by a company in the specialized ERP Staff Augmentation space. I told them I was happy and didn’t want to make a switch, but they pushed for me to have an interview just to hear them out. During the interview, I was presented with very lucrative statistics, and the ability to control your income and your success based on how hard you work and I just couldn’t refuse. I have been in the specialized ERP Staff Augmentation space ever since."

What do you think you have done differently to be successful?

"I just work hard. I try to seize every opportunity to climb to the next level. I refuse to give up on my goals, and I always remain persistent. When things get tough, I don’t let them hinder my positive spirit, and I push myself forward. I remain in constant competition with myself and others around me who are succeeding.

Also, I think another contributing factor is that I am just myself. I treat my business relationships the same way I treat my friends and family. I am a real person, who is open, honest, and is there to help in any way possible. "

What do you enjoy most about your current role as Senior Client Services Director?

"I still enjoy all of the things about the job that made me first want to get into the specialized ERP Staff Augmentation space. I also deeply enjoy learning about how corporations use ERP systems as the backbones to their businesses. It’s incredible what these systems and the people who implement them can do. It’s really rewarding to know that I can be a small part of their great success and accomplishments by way of our talent. I have major client pride!"

March is National Women's History Month, do you have any advice for young women looking to start in sales or the tech industry?

"Go for it!! Just remember to be yourself, work hard, and always try to keep a positive mental attitude even when the going gets tough, and keep pushing! Sales is a great industry to become your own boss, control your own income, and give yourself the life you want without having to go to college or become specialized in any particular field. If I can do it, anyone can!"

Anything else you want to share?

“I didn’t come this far, to only come this far!”
